i think that he is portrayed as a Rastafarian Jesus. he is seen as a holy man and a healer. he is usually very kind and cares greatly for others. for example, he takes in Minette, who, like many girls from the country runs away to Kingston. she is treated badly then she meets brother man who takes her in as his daughter. Minette on the other hand, is seemingly in love with bra' man. but she also has feelings for Papacita, an abusive man.
bra ambo is the opposite of bra man as he practices obeah.
i think the book is good so far and the characters do not get boring. i also like the way in which it is written, the language is quite colorful
